The exhibition "Takane no Hana" will officially launch on February & 2016 at Twist Gallery from 7:00-10:00 pm, and will open daily until February 25th "Takane no Hana" Exhibition in Toronto-a celebration of contemporary female portraiture paintings by self-taught Canadian artist Lauren Brevner The exhibition hours are February 4-25, 2016, Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. Lauren Brevner is a young Canadian artist of mixed heritage currently living and working in Vancouver, Canada. Her diverse cultural background is demonstrated in mixed media oil paintings and she has an inclination to experiment with materials Lauren's art is distinguishable by her use of color non-conventional canvas materials and visually striking female portraiture. "Takane no Hana" showcases 9 multi-media resin paintings and 3 large prints by Lauren Brevner The paintings and prints range in size from 61 x 122 cm (2 x4) to 122 x 183 cm (4 x 6). This exhibition reflects the artist's mixed heritage, as well as her take on the cultural and contemporary ideals of the 21st century Lauren is most notably connected to her Japanese roots, which can be seen in the female subjects, their clothing, her choice of materials and the overall compositions. The exhibition is also an opportunity for the public to purchase museum-quality art.
