A brilliant mind
The film tells the story of a schizophrenic named John Forber Nash. He is a mathematician with a high degree of intelligence who is fascinated with numbers, formulas and theorems and tries to change these theories through his own reformulations, that is, he excelled in elaborating a revolutionary theory that could change the course of modern economics. He was an excellent teacher, but he was not delighted with the idea of being one, for him to be in a classroom was to waste his time and that of the students.
The protagonist, despite being a totally anti-social person, manages to arouse the interest of his student Alicia who despite seeing the coldness in the teacher, manages to win the teacher's heart.
Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness characterized by many symptoms including thought alterations, hallucinations, delusions and emotional dullness. Schizophrenia has both positive and negative symptoms.
In this film, although at first the viewer does not identify in the professor's story when it is real or the character's hallucinations, he addresses the main symptoms of the disease that was only discovered when the doctor told his wife that the crises and manias of persecution what he had were actually signs that he was a schizophrenic.
