ANIMALS IN DANGER What do tigers, whales, wolves, and deer have in common? They are all animals in danger of extinction. They have many natural enemies, but man is their principal problem. In many countries, men (women and children) pollute the air, rivers, seas, beaches, and valleys with their industries. They take land and food from the animals when they build their cities, roads and farms. People kill animals to make coats, shoes and bags, or just to put them on walls for decoration. Today one thousand species of animal are in danger. If you want to help save their lives, write to these societies for information (in English please): International society; International Union; World Wildlife Fund.
